  • The Museum occupies two noble houses for urban residents. They combined tempted statues yard with transparent roof of steel and glass. In the Museum you can see sculpture. paintings and jewellery made of gold and silver. Among the most interesting exhibits is a collection of gold and silver coins that you can examine, through the movable magnifying glass. But for children it will be interesting to turn the pages of magic book where history comes alive in Augsburg. The cost of visiting the Museum seven euros.

  • The Museum was opened in Augsburg in mid-19 century and named in honor of the Emperor Maximilian II of Bavaria, who then visited him. I was in the Museum during a visit to the city in April this year. I especially enjoyed the collection of jewelry, which is not surprising: Jewelers Augsburg always were famous for their skill, their products even have in the Treasury of the Moscow Kremlin. The Museum an interesting courtyard, covered with a glass roof. There are stored the original sculpture of Neptune, mercury and August with three fountains of the city standing on Maximilianstrasse and the fountains installed copy.
