  • The Museum is characterized by unique special collections. Nowhere except in Florence can be better study to Mannerist sculpture in bronze as here. The works of Adriaen de Vries are very narrative. Mercury looks impatiently at Amor, which binds him to his sandals. Messenger of the gods will be lifted in the next moment. Spicy, cuts like Cupid's feathered wings to Mercury's shame. Also, the Hercules fountain breathtaking. The heads of the Hydra are squirming ominously. The graces glamorous, one washes the feet, a wind the cloth the third from her hair. -In the historical collection of the model, you could spend hours. No other museum can boast similar.

  • Staff were rude and made it very difficult for us, having to run around back and forth making us do things (you have to go to a locker room to put your bags in, then after that was done and we went back they asked to see tickets, which of course were in the locker). Scolded us several times for no reason (my elderly father had a water bottle with him, it was a hot day- and they scolded us as we were leaving). I live in Augsburg and I am sorry to say I will not recommend it.
  • Great Museum with friendly staff. The entrance fee is fair (for students). Art and history students get even free entry! The originals of the fountain are figures to visit even for free! You can spend some hours, but does not have it too!

  • The art collection is very high quality

  • Interesting exhibitions, I think but the price excessive. A visit with the family is just always on the first Sunday of the month.
