  • The absolute highlight among the churches of Augsburg: a 1000-year-old church, renvoiert by a British architect in Asian minimalist style - great!

  • The old church distinguishes itself by a very modern and simple, very pleasantly minimalist facilities/equipment and thus exerts a special charm.

  • The Church is situated in the homonymous square and Central maximilianstrasse. It appeared here in the 11th century, in the 12th century, was rebuilt from the Romanesque to the Gothic, but its present baroque look took already in the 18th century. Was destroyed by bombardments, thankfully, recovered.

  • This one deserves a visit by John Pawson, an English teacher to 2013 new interpreted sacred space. The large surfaces, floor slabs, columns and the stepped stages, huge chancel with the illuminated Salvator Mundi received a unique quality of space through the indirect lighting and the few Baroque gems that were not destroyed in 1944.
