Augsburg City Hall (Rathaus), Augsburg
(4.3/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web)
As well as being the administrative center of the city, Augsburg City Hall (Rathaus) is home to an exhibit on the history of Augsburg. While admiring the building's grand exterior, look for the large copper pinecone ornament--the symbol of the city. The striking building is considered one of north Europe's most significant Renaissance secular constructions. Step inside to explore some of its most lavish rooms and study its exhibits. You must pay a small fee to visit Goldener Saal, the most impressive of the rooms. Marvel at its large doorways, rich ornamentation, murals, and coffered ceiling. Visit the Rathskeller for Bavarian food and beer. Plan your Augsburg City Hall (Rathaus) visit and explore what else you can see and do in Augsburg using our Augsburg vacation trip planner.

  • From the outside, nothing does assume the beauty and Majesty of the bathrooms wooden gilded gold (what renovation work!). Fresco in the ceiling of the main meditation hall...

  • Is the City Hall of the city of Augsburg. Beautiful construction. The late afternoon of October is unforgettable. Very blue sky until around 19:30 h, with low temperatures. Ida Valley.

  • The Rathaus is the Town Hall of Augsburg and one of the most impressive town halls of Germany. Is located in the city centre, overlooking a large and busy square (Rathausplatz), meeting point of the main streets of the old town (as the Maximilianstrasse shopping street) and the floor decorated in an original way. Outside is a nice building, I had the misfortune to happen, however, at a time when the entire main façade was under renovation. But the thing that deserves better than this building is a visit inside the Goldener Saal: high 14 m and with an area of over 500 square meters, this room is a spectacular Imperial Baroque architectural masterpiece, and takes its name from gold foil covering the ceiling decoration, the large French and surrounding structures , all very scenic but really nice!

  • The staff and the Advisory were very professional and we had to worry about anything. The prices were right and we were informed beforehand about any costs. All requests by us were taken into account and we can only recommend the funeral service.

  • The funeral was very professionally organized. On the recommendation of a friend I called the funeral service of the city of Augsburg. I had to call only these, everything else was done by the company. It is anyway preoccupied with themselves and the shock of the death and is as good as gelehmt to do anything and need someone who is sensitive and this burden decreases slightly to him. Had to take care of anything. The communication of the appointment with the Cemetery Administration, grave purchase, prayer, until the funeral, everything was done without friction!. Also worth mentioning is the completion of the formalities, as well as advice on the authorities.

  • The Lady took just 10 minutes for us. It was not entered on our wishes. Fees and prices did not know the Lady. A corresponding list did not have also them. The service we have received over a half a year later the Bill. It services, we expressly did not order, were charged. Also called us net prices and calculated gross prices. Retail gross prices are to be recorded according to price indication Ordinance. On our demand, the answers were delayed so long until she expired revocation Rist (Bill, no Bill). On my last letter, I have received no reply at all. To refrain entirely from a courtesy. The competent staff answered, if at all, only very unfriendly and has not addressed my complaints. No understanding. I would specifically discourage in the mourning and hustle and bustle of a death, funeral service.
