  • I wasn't quite sure about it but I guess I was wrong. Nice Museum, amazing set up. Nice Porsches on display; good restaurant as well. You will like it. Near the A8. 20 minutes away from Salzburg. Quit...  more »
  • For a car enthusiast and model railroading is a visit necessary. The new Museum is located in a fabulous place in the Alps. Can easily be reached by motorway. The exhibition consists in Tin toy collection of patron and a series of numerous model trains. There are also play areas to entertain the little ones while their parents visit the exhibition. An area of the Museum is meant to always themed temporary exhibitions. A room is reserved for cars of the famous car brand. The main part is bound to a model railway which represents Bavaria the Austria and Switzerland. The plant is spectacular and detailed. On the walls surrounding the Hall shows the changing backgrounds depending on the area and the alternating day and night. Spectacular night with the projection onto the plastic part with the videomapping. Extraordinary! Outside there is a play area but is available when there is no snow. Instead the little train is active even in winter. All in all it was an interesting visit. The kids had fun. I recommend it to everyone, even in summer.

  • Very nice Museum. On the hotel grounds, children can turn a round with the miniature railway. Inside you will find a very extensive collection of Chetan toys with remarkable pieces such as from the beginning of the 20th century. A huge and very nicely designed layout on the scale of 1:87 (H0) with impressive effects (weather, day & night, etc.) brings to amaze adults and children. Of course you will find also some vehicles in 1:1, mainly of the Porsche brand. However, this is not the Hauptsegement.

  • Very nice for kids and adults. greatplace to visit if the weather is bad!
  • State of the art digital layout. Excellent, various ways are utilized to display ex: wall mounted eyepieces that show the drivers view from the cab of 3 different trains...CGI screens showing passengers viewpoint. Projected weather on upper walls to include storms, hot air ballon, helicopter, and banner pulling plane. Too much to describe in words. Cafe, Toy display, some Porsches..huge train layout by Merklin. A+ production.
  • Absolutely successful exhibition. Porsche sports car in the EC. then the roller coaster with "Toy of the past". and finally the model railway scenery. as well as the Hamburg miniature Wonderland. Plan on at least 90-120 minutes. My favorite, the "hippie VW bus"
