The Burg Altena is a huge experience for children and very instructive. You can you can experience the middle ages and also see how it's been. The children can also Knight play corner in the Knight. It's great to see how children here to see the world and what they can to discover if it gives you the opportunity. The Dungeon for the children was particularly exciting.

The Burg Altena is a Knight's Castle, which is unparalleled in the world! The twelfth-century castle perched magnificently on the Klusenberg. Best man parked his car at one of the small bars at the Lenneufer and then solves the experience lift ticket. Here a modern interactive experience is built in an old air-raid shelter, where you can learn many interesting things about the history of the Castle. Great for kids and adults. Then take the elevator through the middle of the Castle Hill in the Castle. Highlights are of course the castle itself, which is very well maintained. Interesting is also the historic, first youth hostel of the world that here was built the castle chapel and the Castle Dungeon, in which the prisoners found earlier dire conditions. Children and adults also have the ability to attract a chain shirt and put on a Knights helmet during the tour. Weighs pretty heavy! Stepping back to foot, either along some splendid villas on the Fritz Thomeestraße or one chooses the steeper descent along adventurous into the slope of the intricate houses with their gardens directly below the Castle. With its pedestrian zone, you can safely omit the city centre, but sit on the Lenne worth, especially when the weather is nice.

This great castle is located in a weird Käffchen Altena. Because it feels the time is stopped 20 years ago. Many shops close, but then you come to the entrance of the elevator of experience. There you can find out a lot of things such as interactive How came the castle to their name. Here kids have fun lot ne. Then it goes with the lift up to the Castle. That is super restored and there to see a lot and to explore. Liked very much. Great destination for a family outing
