  • It is advisable to take part in a guided tour where you get more information about monastery, former monastery school, and Church. You can even explore the Museum. In the monastery church, a mobile on air cushion organ "can be moved to concerts in the middle of the Church", could be seen among others.

  • In our recent tour of the impressive German Black Forest we visited Alpirsbach, one of the recommended sites on this route. Alpirsbach is located in the Valley of the Kinz, is small, and its main tourist attraction is what St. Benedict Alpisbacher Klosterkirche, Benedictine monastery. It is an old convent of Romanesque style, which was founded by Duke Adelbert Zollern, in the year 1095. The spectacular Benedictine Abbey was built in the 12th century. Visit recommended in Alpirsbach.

  • Beautiful benedictine monastery in the Kinzig valley with a wonderful cloister. In the summertime the city organize a sort of cinema in the cloister. Throughout the city you can smell the hops from the brewery close by. Simon Visit my website: www.noireblanc.de
  • Beautiful, no guided English tour but information in English.
  • A wonderful visit. The monastery is situated in the city centre and also has a nice Park, very nice. To visit it inside you have to take a ticket (€5 or €3 for students) and includes a guide in many languages! You can visit the Church, the outside is the Museum. I found it very nice, nothing of eclectic, but pleasant and consistent with the cost. In addition the guide explains very well the whole way.

  • To demand money to want to look at the Church... for the others, I understand it Yes still due an insolence... It thought no money needed for a prayer and contemplation in treasure house... here it is disabused... and the whole thing still on the Jakobusweg... have and will never see it from the inside and still survive...
