The Bridge of Peace, Tbilisi

4.4
A modern pedestrian thoroughfare, The Bridge of Peace hangs delicately over the Kura River and connects the old town to the modern. Designed to evoke the shape of peaceful marine mammals, the bridge provides convenient access from Rike Park to the old town. Stroll across the structure and pause in the middle to watch the river traffic passing below. In the evenings the bridge comes to life with an impressive light display made up of thousands of colored LED lights. • It is a beautifull bridge on river. On one side of it there is a nice park with people playing musics in it. Very amusing  more »
  • Modern bridge, Tbilisi is one of the few modern structures. The reason why many people do not like. I think it's not ugly, but remotely look better. In addition to the cable car Rike.

  • Peace bridge built after the war with Russia in 2008. A footbridge over the river crosses. The bridge connects the old town on the right bank of the River with Rike park away cable car up to the fortress. The bridge is illuminated at night with thousands of LEDs and lighting modifiers create impressive audiovisual show.

  • Cool looking bridge. Lights up at night. Can be set to Morse code mode. They did a great job with the design of the bride and the park around it. The bridge affords fantastic views. It is a great place to stop and take photos. From the park you can hop on the cable car. Or it is a short walk to the sulfur baths.
  • Great place to stroll across the river and visit sulfur bath area. The bridge symbolizes peace and has an interesting design. At night, it lights up in beautiful colors while daytime it offers a stunning view of fortress, church and other buildings on both side of the river. There is a cable car station and metro station nearby too.
  • Located at the center of Tbilisi, the bridge is perfect both in the daytime and at night. Similar to most of Tbilisi’s modern architecture, the beauty of bridge for peace is highly dependent on the glass walls and the colorful lights at night.
  • One of the most beautiful and interesting bridges I have ever been to. Built to represent peace between Russia and Georgia. Beautiful sidewalks near by to walk around and explore the city. Also between New and old Tbilisi. Many other tourists destination near.
  • One of the best places to visit in Georgia!!! Place with Nice bridge to walk on and reach the adjacent large garden/park coming from the city places !!!! Highly recommended to visit!!! All thanks to the most friendly, accommodating, caring and flexible tour guide of OceanAir Travels!!!
