  • Rustaveli Avenue-this Moscow Tverskaya or Kiev, khreschatik. Home main street of the city, concluded between two metro stations and two squares. There are a lot of outstanding buildings from the architectural point of view, various cafes, here are the major city museums. At one end of the street, near a metro station and a monument to him, Rustaveli is a local "Arbat": small tourism collapse with felt fine work shawls (20-30 lari), Svanetian protective caps (also felt-5 lari), paintings, icons, etc. very inexpensive Souvenirs and interesting, perhaps the best place in town. On the other side of the street are museums. 1. Art Gallery: it is here on the first floor a collection of pirosmani and Gudiani, at first sometimes employs temporary exhibitions. 2. Historical Museum of the capital of Georgia, where is the Golden pantry: jewels, age up to 8 years. Entrance-5 gel, but be sure to take the tour for 25. The guides are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, we have already in the evening, and when we are distressed that the story has to downsize. On the upper floors there is a Museum of the Soviet occupation, but there we do not have time, so I cannot say anything. 3. Museum of history already Christian Georgia, the logical continuation of the previous one. From the middle of the first Millennium. The Guide recommended but not yet. The whole street is in second-hand curio stalls, where many old books in Russian, from outright drebedeni followed by even no one is watching, leaving a box for coins, to quite good publications. When walking on Rustaveli, necessarily go in the basement "Adzharian khachapuri (he's on the side of" Arbat "). Place preserved from the Soviet times, there poured lagidze waters (if you mix the syrup with mineral water: chocolate, cream, grape, tarhunovyj tastes) and make khachapuri. The latter have to wait but the ajarian, with eggs and butter, well worth it. Caution: the Middle easily enough for two works of man, do not be greedy). Price funny, eat together can be on 10 lari. And here's "pathos" in mind restaurants on Rustaveli attention deserve: an attempt to make expensive-ornate, with vyshkolennymi waiters, etc. Georgia does not go, Yes and tasteless that Tbilisi is rare.
