  • In fact-the cemetery of famous people, including not only politics, but also artists. The Pantheon of many known (and on Griboedov's with Nina Chavchavadze and many others), but I first learned what is the Cenotaph. "Kenotáf (other-Grech. κενοτάφιον, from κενός is empty and the grave)-τάφος is a tombstone in a location that does not contain the remains of the deceased, a kind of symbolic grave. " So, in the Pantheon is the Cenotaph with the name Nicholas Aslanovicha Pirosmanashvili-known to us as Niko Pirosmani. The central part of the Panthéon-Church of St. Davila Garedzhskogo, in which, fortunately, no tourists and no one makes selfi.

  • While in Tbilisi, you probably go to a Mtacmindu-have a cup of coffee in the restaurant "Funicular" or take a ride on the Ferris wheel overlooking Tbilisi. If you go by cable car, in the middle of the road, you can get out and walk to the Pantheon that I highly recommend. This is a very quiet and peaceful place where many famous people are buried-Griboedov and his wife Nino chavchavadze, Galaktion Tabidze, Lado Gudaishvili, Merab Kostava and many others. You can walk along a small cemetery, looking at interesting gravestones, peek into the Church of St David and simply enjoy the beautiful views of Tbilisi.

Where to stay in Tbilisi

Strung out alongside the Mtkvari River, Tbilisi's historical core and bustling city center offers an array of accommodation options. Choose the fortress hill, the more northern residential districts, or a main street in the center of the action. Large international chain hotels offer luxury options, complete with fine dining, air conditioning, and more. However, you can also choose from more economical, mid-level options located around Rustaveli Avenue and Tbilisi's old town. For the lowest cost, consider one of the ubiquitous hostels.
