Trusso Valley, Stepantsminda

Categories: Valleys, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.9/5 based on 40+ reviews on the web
At Trusso Valley, track along a river pass deserted villages and ancient towers. The valley is dotted with white and red travertine formations, geysers, and mineral springs. Look for a bubbling mineral lake filled with carbon dioxide. The valley is home to a variety of birds. You may run into Georgian soldiers--due to the proximity of the boarder--so it’s good to have your passport with you. Wear sturdy shoes since roads are rocky and slippery in parts. Another way to explore the valley is on a mountain bike. Trusso Valley is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, Stepantsminda Edition.

  • Definitely worth to visit this place. It is not so well known among tourists. Landscapes of crazy, nobody. You can leave the car and walk into the Gorge, places a lot. We walked with the child 1 year in a backpack-everyone was comfortable. It was interesting to look at the mountains, abandoned villages, tiny Lake with a depth of 150 meters (!), the serenely grazing cattle. On the road were sources with min. water.

  • One of the most interesting places in Georgia. You can go to the daily trek with a tent, but the trail ends with border control.
