  • Amazing place! Amazing architecture, inscribed in a unique mountain landscape. Deep below turbulent flows a river framed by Rocky boulders and surrounded by green hills, high in the sky the Eagles soar. It is worth to visit to make a mouthful of brisk mountain air ...

  • We were lucky to get into Mocametu in the complete absence of people, allowing fully feel the energy of this Saint for each Georgian place. Place and in itself is very picturesque. Almost zamshelymi forest which flew over the same trunks strange trees and plenty of stones, which leads the path to the monastery added a special attitude. Ancient monastery standing on the cliff above the bend of the turquoise River through transparent forest was seen from afar and looked fabulous. Listen to the tour was not possible, but a lot of information available on the network. The most important thing: in the main church is the Ark with the relics of Saints David and Constantine, who traditionally Orthodox bypassed three times. You need to ask the monks. Usually there is someone there. No doubt a worthy place to visit! And very photogenic.

  • Less impressive than Gelati but set in a more aesthetically pleasing natural location, this monastery is quite charming. I don't like the newly-repainted (as opposed to restored) frescoes though...they look amateurish and, to my mind at least, fail to respect the beauty of the old medieval paintings. A pity!
  • It's a little bit hard to get there. Just take a taxi to get there. It diffidently worth it.
  • After you park, you walk toward the monastery on a nice trail. The scenery around is astonishing - definitely worth a visit! The inside of the monastery looks brand new, but beautiful nonetheless.
  • Worth to see! Small but charming place
  • Beautiful place.
