  • Assumed (probably) no way other than car, went by taxi. Happens to be groups of tourists and is seen slowly came together for is is charming and tucked away in the mountains.

  • Very sleek and likeable monastery. An explicit new but very delicate. Amenities adds place hosts-slope of the Canyon. Monastic buildings like a slide on that slope down into the rioni River. In my opinion more enjoyable than its known neighbour Gelati

  • This was the most spiritual place I visited in Kutaisi. On the way there is a magnificent view of the river canyon, the forest and the monastery itself. it is built on the heights above the river bed ...  more »

  • Less impressive than Gelati but set in a more aesthetically pleasing natural location, this monastery is quite charming. I don't like the newly-repainted (as opposed to restored) frescoes though...they look amateurish and, to my mind at least, fail to respect the beauty of the old medieval paintings. A pity!
  • It's a little bit hard to get there. Just take a taxi to get there. It diffidently worth it.
  • After you park, you walk toward the monastery on a nice trail. The scenery around is astonishing - definitely worth a visit! The inside of the monastery looks brand new, but beautiful nonetheless.
  • Worth to see! Small but charming place
  • Beautiful place.
