  • The first fortifications were built here in Roman times. There is also a functioning Church of the 6th century. There is also a Mini Museum. There's just an ode to the room and a couple of dozen exhibits, but rather curious. Be sure to visit Abaatu, you won't regret it.

  • When this ancient fortress is almost dismantled by way and when Prince Ol'denburgskom built hotel. But the Church remained. Hypatia Gagra. Very beautiful and prayerful. Many city dwellers and guests of Gagra with pleasure come and pray and reflect and relax. Not many people know that at neighbouring mount there is an ancient Grotto-cell of Saint Hypatia, a place not often visited by tourists, so with even greater mystery and beauty.
