  • We were 6, and the visit was unanimous. Allow 2 hours of visits. We took a morning of bad weather to go see this very interesting Museum even if it is sometimes a little difficult to follow the chronology that is scheduled for the visit. Nana Didier

  • The permanent exhibition of the Museum begins with a room explaining the geological formation of Polynesia. The explanations are very technical and little informative. Kids will probably be bored in this part. Then a part is devoted to local animals and plants, but, most of the Scriptures for the scientific names and classification in the table of species. The most interesting part and the next, and concerns the history of Polynesia and its peoples. Many objects are exposed, but sometimes with explanations too difficult to read. In General, this part of the Museum doesn't seem to have been updated since (dozens?) years. The visit nevertheless worth and will keep you busy for 2 hours.
