Trou du Souffleur de Arahoho, Papeete
(2.8/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web)
Get splashed by the waves at Trou du Souffleur de Arahoho, a strange geological highlight of Tahiti's coast. Long ago, liquid lava cut a tunnel through the volcanic rock of the coast here, which now allows seawater into its confined space. When a wave comes in, it gets trapped and is forced up and out through the "blowhole," spraying the surrounding area and looking much like a volcanic geyser. Stand on the viewing platform and get covered in the warm seawater as you snap photos of the impressive and unusual natural spectacle. Note that the attraction remains closed until early 2016. Put Trou du Souffleur de Arahoho and other Papeete attractions into our Papeete tour planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • The landscape is at the appointment, the hole of the blower is in my opinion, one of the passages on Papeete to visit, surprising, free and fun a little treat. Note: to do without a guide, there are two one that comes out of the rock and the other at the end of the dock that comes out of another rock to eject into the ocean, patience and observation are needed.

  • close to the road in front of 3 waterfalls... to do as impressive to receive and hear this breath... go look on the sea waves crashing against the rocks and see "steam"...

  • At the edge of the road to the North/East of the big island... is to see especially if the sea is a little restless...
