Where to stay in Moorea

On Mo'orea, even the budget accommodations enjoy prime beachfront locations on beautiful turquoise lagoons. Camping is the most affordable option, mainly concentrated in the northwest of the island. Family-run pensions (boarding houses) can also offer great, no-frills, budget-friendly lodging--although finding contact details and booking can take a little effort. The biggest draw on Mo'orea, however, remain the luxury beach resorts and overwater bungalows on the lagoons, mostly strung across the island's northern edge. Prices for these start in the mid range, but climb quickly into the high end for the most lavish options.

  • Very fun experience! Show was great! Village tour was fun. Food was good. Heads up, be prepared to pay for any additional food and drinks in cash even though credit is accepted as entrance it is not for food.
  • Tiki Village is a must-see for your time on Moorea. While the initial arrival seems awkward (older building, through a gift shop), don't let that deter you from the great time you are about to have. It is an amazing experience from pre-dinner to post-dinner shows. The dinner is honestly average at best, but I personally didn't go there for the food. It's good food, but the show and ambiance are what makes this place awesome. The performers are excited, energetic and want to be there (I have seen other Polynesian shows where the performers just "mail it in" and go through the motions). Beautiful singing, excellent music and choreography.
  • a village typical Polynesian, as we see, even in the remote islands. Warm welcome and impressive show. The buffet is very provided without being gourmet. Attention, this isn't a show for the American, it's still authentic and intimate, perfect for you into the heart of the Tahitian tradition. My wife even went dancing on stage, remember to kept in memory... I highly recommend!

  • Nice, exciting opportunity to learn about the history of the island. You should check before the short opening hours. Admission to the Museum is free.
