  • Played the Green Pearl course on Moorea in March of 2017 and really enjoyed the course. It is obvious from the start that the course is suffering from a lack of play and a small maintenance budget. However, the greens were in great shape and the fairways and tees were playable. But, you may as well give yourself a free drop out of the bunkers as they were just hard pan. The front nine is flat but has the Jack Nicklaus rolling greens, mounding, and frequent use of lakes. The back nine is the real treat as it gradually cuts uphill into the jungle with lots of elevation changes and great views of the island and ocean. As a tourist and needing to rent clubs, I paid around $140 US to play on a Friday morning. After playing through a foursome on #3, I played the entire round in under 3 hours. I hope this course can survive as it is the only course on the island and is a real gem to play. They did advertise that they would pick you up at your resort but I ended up walking about 35 minutes each way from my resort to play the course.
  • Nice layout but the course is in disrepair, especially the fairways. Not worth the money.
  • Played here twice. Here are the pros and cons. Pros Its a scenic and picturesque course. The 1st 9 is played around billabongs on the flat. The 2nd 9 is played on the side of a mountain. Its got plenty of mango trees so we often suspended play and ate the mangoes. They were delicious. Unlike Australia, there is nothing there that can bite, sting or take a piece out of you EXCEPT the mudcraps. They have got some industrial size mudcrabs and their holes are everywhere. But by the time you arrive, they have left the building. A bank owns the place as a mortgagee in possession. The course is not advertised anywhere in the tourist brochures so you will have the course to yourself. Cons They engage in the usual tourist rip off. The tourist 18 hole green fee is USD$60.00. The local green fee is USD$33.33. GRRRRRR.. The shuttle does not work. We were shown the shuttle bus parked in the corner and told it broke down 4 weeks ago and not fixed. Probably due to Bank de Scrouge. So from the Sofitel being 4 kms away the taxi fare is (continuing the rip off tradition) USD$15.00. The cart paths are cracked and crumbling ( but still navigable) because there was no reo put in the concrete!!! The local Tahitian groundcover is thick, so if your ball rolls off the fairway, its impossible to find
  • When I was stranded here I couldn't have asked for a better passtime. While the FBI came after me because I did illegal things, I played golf to pass the time. I really hate myself.
  • Very good scenery!!
