Tereia Beach, Maupiti Island

(4.8/5 based on 150+ reviews on the web)
Relax on the golden shores or explore the waters for exotic species at Tereia Beach. The fine-grain sand, shade of the coconut trees, and shallowness of the blue lagoon draw snorkelers, swimmers, and sunbathers alike. The abundant marine life is easily visible in the clear, shallow water, providing great opportunities to spot blacktip sharks, octopuses, and rays. Even those who shy away from swimming in chilly seas should dip their toes into the warm waters here. • The most beautiful beach of Maupiti, located on the main island. Do not stop at the beginning of the range to the snack of Mimi, but straight at the end of the beach, you will be alone in the world facing the lagoon. The motu in front can be reached at feet across the lagoon, about 15 minutes.

  • A place of white sand lined with coconut trees, a turquoise lagoon and across a motu which can be reached on foot. After the snack at Mimi, the lagoon is deeper and more conducive to swimming.
