  • We stayed at Hiva Oa 3 days and we decided to go to the cemetery on our way to the Museum. To do a detour because the cemetery is located in height. The coast is a bit steep, so for small walkers I advise the car. Arrived at the cemetery you directly come across the grave of Jacques Brel and a little higher up on your right there is Paul Gaugin. It's a very emotional place especially with the memories that drops off. TO DO!

  • It would be a shame not to do a small hook at the cemetery to see the graves of Jacques Brel and Gauguin. The place is in height and the view is worth a photo.

  • Easy to find, this cemetery is very well exposed with lovely views of the ocean. The tomb of brel is at the entrance, and we haven't looked that of Gauguin.
