  • We stopped in here, they actually picked us up at the airport during a flight delay. They have a tour on how they produce pearls that is nice. It was a fun stop and pearls were purchased.  more »
  • We were picked up at our resort and taken to the farm, a short drive. It was very interesting to learn about the pearl production process. My only regret is that I couldn’t afford the $10,000 USD...  more »
  • Not particularly impressed. We went to better places in French Polynesia which were more interesting and better organized. Basically just a shop. We were not offered a visit and when we walked...  more »
  • Tours in French or English by friendly staff. Tours at 8, 10 or 14h. Free shuttle bus to bring you to the farm. As there is not to much to visit on Rangiroa, this is one of the absolut highlights.
  • I learned a great deal about the black pearls and how they are farmed. I also enjoyed the purchases I made.
  • oh that was a beautiful experience, I will definitively go back there!
  • Great english guided tour. Very interesting. We learned (and saw) a lot about pearl farming: it is actually much more complex than we thought. You just have to ask your hotel to contact the farm: they come and pick you up and - after the tour - they drive you back. The tour is free, at the end you can (but not obliged to) buy tahitian pearls (just pearls or necklaces, bracelets, earrings ... ). The single pearls are wonderful, and you have a great choice, but the already-mounted jewels are not the best I've seen in Polynesia.
  • Interesting to learn how pearls are cultured and watch how they are skillfully removed from the oyster shells.
