Visit Cacao Village, a town surrounded by fields of orchids, and shop for local products. The village, as a Hmong community, is most famous for its Sunday market, where you’ll find a lively atmosphere of locals selling exotic produce, flowers, arts, and crafts. Settle down on one of the market benches and be sure to try the local soup specialty. Once you’re done browsing, visit the nearby butterfly farm to view a colorful array of plants and insects. • Everyone makes a world of cocoa, in my opinion, it's a little visit for Sunday morning, but the market is a market (nothing different than Cayenne), Museum of insects and must (€4 memory) but very interesting, well there is always the lower world and visit with the guide's can be a bit long because the guide speaks beaaaucoup (we see it is that passion insects) has not to be missed: the Potter (take the street that goes up behind the Museum) very exciting and its creations are top!

  • Our stay in Guyana, we are first of all to the cocoa market. A real treat! A kindness, a sensational welcome! An excellent gastronomy that do not hesitate to taste, to buy. We were lucky that our stay is located at the Hmong new year. Wonderful, absolutely fantastic, senior traditional costumes in color, of a rare elegance, traditional dances which lead you away from what we know. a real trip! Not to be missed! Beware there is no way to refuel the car between Cayenne and cocoa! There is a small service station in cocoa but it isn't open all the time. As you walk in the village, go to the Church, very pretty and take the opportunity to admire the view from the promontory on which stands the Church. Do not miss the ornithological Museum; you will meet a wonderful man who will provide you with a lot of humour, his passion for the local insects. Everything is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
