  • With a few rest hours on our day, we decided to visit chateau du clos de vougeot. The building is impressive, between vineyards and the building itself is also impressive. The special roof construction made a deep impression on us. Also the various wine presses are impressive to see. Unfortunately the Castle very commercial. In the movie you get no information about the history of the Castle, a commercial film about the wine society that it manages. A missed opportunity, we found. Still, worth a detour.

  • My wife and I enjoyed visiting the Chateau du Clos de Vougeot. We learned a lot from our guide about the history of the chateau (it's worthwhile to have a guide for historic places like this chateau)....  more »
  • Pretty place to visit with some amazing grapes presses to admire. Tour is made independently but don't miss the nearly 30 minutes film giving you the real atmosphere of this region.

  • It was OK but I was disappointed there was little explanation as to what made the area good for growing wine. The only info we found was about how much the people in the area liked themselves. That was really off putting
  • Very beautiful chateu/monestary in the middle of the wineyards. Nice museum.
  • Interesting to see, enjoyed the environment but the guided tour was rather not worth it.
  • What a fun evening. Jokes need to join the 21st century though
  • Very interesting and rich with history. We had to go back again for a further appreciation of this wonderful place of Grand Cru! 50.6ha with 80 owners and 110 winemakers!
