  • A beautiful fortress with an interesting journey, but do not advise to anyone. There are very beautiful beautifully restored pieces. Great views of the city.

  • Had another look round the Fort as we had bought a triple ticket (Chartreuse, Fort & Abbaye &Jardins). The views from the battlements are great and there is some interesting graffiti from previous occ...  more »
  • We got at the entrance fee 6 euros, a Dutch directory that all buildings and spaces perfectly described. What a nice walk through the fort, ending on the wall of the fortress with a beautiful view to Avignon and the Mont Ventoux. We thought it was a great experience and have enjoyed, we were there in april by 2017, so in the spaces of the Fort and the small church was nice and cool.

  • It's a good place to walk around the Avinon. You can see the view of the city as well.
  • Atmospheric fortress overlooking the city of Avignon. Could do with better interpretive materials to help explore but still a worthwhile visit. The paths are mainly unpaved so wear decent walking shoes.
  • The Fort is a nice visit; I prefer it to the Abbey.
  • The castle is also see better from the outside than from the inside. We have not visited the Abbey located in the course. But otherwise, the castle is only interest in my view, the landscape. It dominates the entire Valley and it's really a nice panorama. Pity about the lack of info.
