  • The 14th reeuwse fort Saint André, that stood the test of time visible good has survived, is very well worth a visit. The fort that is located above the center of the so-called Cardinals city of Villeneuve-les-Avignon has heavy round corner towers and a very strong entrance gate. The whole town with the impressive tour Philippe le Bel and the Carthusian monastery Chartreuse du Val de Bénédiction is a major point of interest. From the tour Philippe le Bel who used to be a part of a citadel you have a wonderful view of Avignon.

  • The fort is very well preserved and the panorama is magnificent. Pity that the part of the gardens is closed at this time and until March. missing a part of the visit even if we have to pay because it is not included in the tour of the fort.

  • It's a good place to walk around the Avinon. You can see the view of the city as well.
  • Atmospheric fortress overlooking the city of Avignon. Could do with better interpretive materials to help explore but still a worthwhile visit. The paths are mainly unpaved so wear decent walking shoes.
  • The Fort is a nice visit; I prefer it to the Abbey.
  • The castle is also see better from the outside than from the inside. We have not visited the Abbey located in the course. But otherwise, the castle is only interest in my view, the landscape. It dominates the entire Valley and it's really a nice panorama. Pity about the lack of info.
