Musee Zervos, Vezelay

(4.6/5 based on 55+ reviews on the web)
Explore diverse works of art by Picasso and the collections of Christian Zervos at Musee Zervos, a modern art museum. The medieval basement houses manuscripts and is the site where writer Romain Rolland died. Upstairs houses sculptures from Giacometti and the "Grasshopper" painting by Ernst. On the ground floor, small sculptures and a massive relief cast by Henri Laurens are alongside a large mobile by sculptor Calder. Displayed in the Picasso room, works by Pablo Picasso and Julio González describe the link between these two artists. • Well endowed Museum, well-known artists. If you like contemporary art can only love this nice little Museum, former home of the art critic and editor Zervos. However little information inside the Museum, it is better to follow a conference visit to learn more.
