The Trianons & The Hamlet, Versailles

(4.5/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
Take a peek into Marie Antoinette’s favorite places to get away from the pomp of Versailles at The Trianons & The Hamlet. Walk across the gardens or ride the petit train to reach the Grand Trianon decked out in pink marble. The Petit Trianon and the surrounding park reflect the queen's eclectic, free-thinking nature through their rural, rustic surroundings. Inside The Petit Trianon, see her modest bedchamber and simple furnishings. At Le Hameau (Hamlet), survey the ill-fated queen's retreat overlooking Grand Trianon Lake, where the environment stands in stark contrast to the formal gardens at Versailles. • Beautiful, but too big, need plenty of time to walk, look at the works of art and be charming, comfortable shoes is the best option to enjoy this wonderful place!

  • Visits more relaxing than the Castle because it was less crowded and space is larger (the Queen's Hamlet). The Grand Trianon seemed more beautiful and more interesting than breakfast. When in the Queen's Hamlet, it has a side in cardboard very successful amusement park. Only downside: that make these suckers cars that rust on the spot on the edge of the driveway that connects the two Trianon?

  • Marie-Antoinette domains include the Petit and Grand Trianon and the peasant village. Accessible on foot, tourist train or leased, from the Palace of Versailles golf carts. It is walkable and enjoyable. The gardens, fountains and sculptures are magnificent. The Trianon are two small palaces, beautiful and elegant, where the Queen escaping the noise of Palace and your love life. They are visited in a few hours what takes time is walking through the Park. It is a wonder that can't miss
