  • Built by the Sun King, Louis XIV, to meet political absolutism of the sovereign, the Palace of Versailles is yet saved by the will of another King, Louis Philippe, between 1833 and 1847. The King becomes Versailles Museum (historical rooms, room of the Crusades, etc) which chronologically traces events selected by the King. At the same time, Louis Philippe is built a place to live in Versailles where he'll stay very little. This museum dedicated to "all the glories" of the France's first leave it to posterity to the King from the Constitution of 1830.

  • If the castle is gigantic in size, visit system is pretty fast. The help of audioguides, crossing rooms one after the other, I left a little on my hunger! I thought he had more surface to visit, rooms of weapons or secrets to be discovered... but no, even if it is unavoidable, all the furniture is quite disparate, nonexistent... The place deserves better: why managers of this site, we just see the world isn't it not busier? Why not recreate scenes of eras, with characters in costumes in the Castle or the Park, to make an unforgettable visit for children and parents? (take example on the well of the crazy..) Too bad...
