Cathédrale Saint Louis, Versailles

(3.8/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web)
Built between 1743 and 1754, Cathédrale Saint Louis was first used as the parish church of Saint Louis before becoming the cathedral of the new diocese. During your visit, be sure to check out the lovely collection of period paintings preserved in a graceful baroque style. The architecture is nothing to scoff at either--the building is of the mid-18th century, and the first stone was laid by Louis XV in 1743. • The District of Saint Louis is the residential part of Paris, the type of people in Paris who looks there is different, logically much more face much more snob but I insist if they have spirit adventurer is worthwhile to do so

  • Cathedral to visit in a very nice area "The square St. Louis" not very far from the Castle. You have a few restaurants very nice and less expensive than in the Castle Street area Royal brewery the VOLTAIRE or one great lunch every day a dish of the day, boss Romain does its utmost to satisfy the customers a lot of regulars.

  • As the architecture of the Cathedral (Jacques Hardouin Mansart) is of interest as much inside is free... Even the altar and contemporary contributions fail to soften the coldness of the whole.
