Le Duche, Uzes

Architectural Building Tourist Spot
The construction of Le Duche dates back to the Middle Ages. The structures that make up this chateau reflect a number of periods and architectural styles, and most of them have been well-preserved. Architectural styles from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and the Enlightenment period are all represented. Like most chateaus, it started out as a military installation with stone fortifications to hold off invaders. Look closely, and you will see that the early fortifications were supplemented with more decorative elements as time went on. Outside the building, wander through the courtyards and gardens. For Le Duche and beyond, use our Uzes holiday planner to get the most from your Uzes vacation.
