Le Duche, Uzes
(2.7/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
The construction of Le Duche dates back to the Middle Ages. The structures that make up this chateau reflect a number of periods and architectural styles, and most of them have been well-preserved. Architectural styles from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and the Enlightenment period are all represented. Like most chateaus, it started out as a military installation with stone fortifications to hold off invaders. Look closely, and you will see that the early fortifications were supplemented with more decorative elements as time went on. Outside the building, wander through the courtyards and gardens. For Le Duche and beyond, use our Uzes holiday planner to get the most from your Uzes vacation.

  • Very interesting tour, beautiful pieces with beautiful furniture and the extraordinary chapel. THE gardens are to see also.

  • Of course, it is expensive! But it's worth the small sacrifice... Furnished beautiful rooms. Small and large history combine to make us rediscover this somewhat forgotten region.

  • We were very tempted but unfortunately the price of entry 18 euros (we were 4 people either 72 euros) made us give up reluctantly... too bad... that beautiful cultural things are accessible to all budgets.

  • € 18 for a beautiful point of view (not worth € 13 unique) and have a presentation of recent photos of the family currently living in the Duchy is much too expensive for what it is... In short if you value your money. Prefer other activities!

  • Uzès speaks for itself, either we know, and we're back so it's beautiful, either we don't know... and we manage to spend!
