  • Since we were staying IN Turckheim, it made sense for us to set up an appointment at Zind-Humbrecht! I have had one or two of their wines in the States so I know they were good, but had never had an o...  more »
  • The area is difficult to find via GPS, but a phone call and we arrived there. Out of Turckheim, taking the road of Colmar, the field is just right, 500 m after the roundabout. The tasting is by appointment, for 25 euros, to deduct from your purchases. We're in the high-end, the prices are accordingly, but quality has a price. Tasting with different visible plots away is exceptional. The qualitative approach is noticeable from the first proposed growth. The personality of the field is present and well marked. Even if the temptation is great, we got everything, the trunk of the car is too small... This richness of aromas, this length in the mouth, these wines are very well made. The House don't fall asleep on its laurels and makes such attempts that planting a parcel with Chardonnay (ranked country wine, of course) that takes the characteristics of the chosen terroir and climate. Well interesting. Guard times proposed indicative is sometimes optimistic, according to me, but all the same length. In short, a nice break on the wine route, which we had been advised by a winemaker friend. Just know that you are on the high end.

  • Probably a very fine wine place. It had been recommended from home, but there were no opportunities to taste the wine, without an agreement first.
