Aquarium Marin De Tregastel Reviews

Beinahe hätten wir ihn gar nicht bemerkt. In a mini small water pools that actually demonstrate the pollution of the seas a sewage pipe in the Middle - a Plastikschuh in a corner – since this small eye in the corner looked at once us. It was kind of random, we noticed it. Ring around the eye on the window small bubble of an Octopus arm, an Ocutpus vulgaris. The eye and the pimples have taken barely more than 5 cm x 5 cm in the right place. An Octopus! hidden! He made us curious. With our fingers, we drove carefully around the eye around and saw that it was followed by our fingers. Again and again it seemed tired to close again to see our fingers and close around his arm somewhat closer to the eye. We have watched the small creature probably 10 minutes. Unfortunately he has not presented itself. On the way back through the rather sad aquarium with far too small pool and already mossy animals and plants - even the effectively lit Doraden looked depressed in their too small pool - we looked over again. But the Octopus was still hiding. Just as we were leaving, as he hissed out. His head was almost as big as a handball, he measured at least 50 cm in wing span. He had hardly ventured out of the corner and spread, since he was already at the end of the terrarium. We were amazed at how small the Octopus could become, in the corner, even though he was so big. Even though we knew that these animals are artists in it to squeeze through the smallest openings. And we were moved, because he just sadly looked. The common Octopus, or even Octopus vulgaris, is an extremely intelligent animal. Everybody knows that by now. He came before us as a convict who had to pay something off. Not only because he was caught. The basin was also still incredibly bleak and far too small - from a human perspective -. Even if we just looked at each tank with great curiosity, has the Aquarium puts us in a bad mood and let think about whether man's ever can do to a creature, to imprison them on a small or limited space at all. Whatever the general attitude to zoos and aquariums look like, this Aquarium - no matter whether cute built into the imposing cliffs of the Cotes de granit rose - is old, outdated, not state of the art, as one would say today. I would recommend the pretty location TREGASTEL, to build a new aquarium with large pool. At least. But this must necessarily be abandoned. It is a prison for marine life, even though it's nice to have them right in front.
Great on a rainy day at the beach. Personally I loved the cave system more :-). Be aware that there are 15 steps that can be avoided (we had a pram with us so they did point that out BEFORE we paid) wasn't a issue. But you won't be able to go to the look out point on top of the rocks. Would take the kids again when they are older. Some write ups in English
The aquarium is located in a great setting in a pile of huge granite boulders, and illustrates the local marine life perfectly. Although it is relatively small, it is well worth a visit.
Small and not so special. Good for kids and reasonable price.
A small aquarium really. But the small children seem to love it anyway.
Lovely Aquarium, love the way it is built into the rock, makes it very unique. Dont forgot to bring your own picnic, as lovely area outside to eat it
