  • One of the most interesting museums we visited in Toulouse. The entry cost 4 euros, but is free for children under 18 years of age. Located in a building very close to the Saint-Sernin basilica, it contains an interesting collection of Greek, Roman and early Christian Antiquities. To highlight the busts of emperors, most of them from the Roman villa of Chiragan, in the vicinity, and the relief of the labours of Hercules. At the time of our visit there was also an exhibition on Greek vases, small but well organized.

  • I really like the idea of a contemporary art museum built on the premises of a former slaughterhouse. The museum is not very big, and the temporary exhibitions I have seen so fare are just ok, but if you pass by it might be worth the visit.
  • Actually the best museum in Toulouse to understand the different periods and people/invaders that have agregated in Toulouse for 3000 years. Back to Celtic invaders from the Rhine region who produced remarkable gold items and jewelries , then the Greek and Roman traders and Roman administration for 3O years , and new invaders: from nowadays Ukraine and Romania, Muslims, and Vandals from the eastern plains of Mongolia... Excellent place to understand the histiry of Toulouse
  • Really interesting, from an archeologists point of view anyway!
  • A must see!
  • Bell'allestimento on three floors dedicated to the archaeological heritage of the area, from the Gallic until late Antiquity. Going in may 2017 educational installation devoted to black-figure attic pottery ("the vase speak"), quite impressive. To visit (not only for fans of Archeology).
