Cite de l'espace, Toulouse

3.7
A theme park focused on space and our conquests in it, Cite de l'espace is an immensely popular museum filled with interactive exhibits for the whole family. Children and space enthusiasts enjoy the full-scale models, including the 55 m (180 ft) Ariane 5 rocket, the Mir space station, and the Soyuz modules. A control room mock-up allows you to prepare a rocket for launch, assisting with its flight plan and then placing a satellite into orbit. Be sure to visit the Australia building, with its 300-seat IMAX cinema and a 280-seat planetarium equipped with a hemispherical 600 sq m (6,458 sq ft) screen. • I am scientist and biologist, rather interested in the planets. I wanted to discover a "Toulouse highlight"= the city of space to the English correspondent of my daughter, 17 years. " We had little time but fortunately: 2 hours, including 30 minutes of film and if being dragged through the expos trying to find interesting things, we had finished. Only interesting thing: the film on Thomas Pesquet: to see!

  • A scandal! 84 euros for 2 adults and 2 children. An attraction down caught up by a film seen and reviewed... staff little communicating and little friendly... few things to see.. .very bad value for money.. .summer exorbitant... I n will return... where to spend our money from visitors?

  • This museum is dedicated to the space technology and space science. There exists marvelous demonstrations of basic technology behind the space vehicles and space explorations. How the astronauts spend their time, how satellites work etc...the universe, planets in the solar system, their composition...an interesting journey to change your mood and to attract the children/teenagers' interest into the field...even as an adult, i really enjoyed this place...you can even enter the replicas of several space shuttles...
  • An extensive and outstanding museum dedicated to space, space crafts, satellites, and meteorology. You can see a full-scale Ariane rocket and the MIR space station. All exhibits are available in French, English, and Spanish. Entertaining and informative for children and adults. Take at least 4-5h to see everything.
  • A must visit for you and the kids. Very informative and a good number of the exhibits are interactive which should entertain both kids and adults. Access via public transport is good and on-site amenities are great.
  • Best effort for a museum. Got turned back for a pocket knife for cleaning my pipe (the French can be so ridiculous) but once inside it was a good visit for my 3 year old.
  • Mostly for kids... Not tourist friendly contents as most of them are in French... Esp the planetarium, where you are provided with an audio guide and it doesn't work. I Max is the only highlight in this place. Timings are not friendly either... Underwhelming experience...
