  • Of the River Garonne to the Canal du Midi runs the Canal de Brienne. Good to a fine walk. Never pictures and cooling by the plane trees.

  • The section where it connects with the Garonne River is quite picturesque. The twin locks are still operational. When we were on the riverboat tour, we saw them being manually operated - love the engineering details. There is a pleasant canalside walk that leads to a new section of the Universite Toulouse 1 Capitole - Manufacture des Tabacs :: forrmerly a tobacco factory, the adaptive re-use strategy for this building is interesting. .. worth exploring. Should you want to take a break, there are several coffee places on Boulevard Marechal Leclerc, opposite the University entrance
  • Super channel in the city center!
