Musee National de la Marine, Toulon
(4.2/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
The town of Toulon has a famous maritime museum, Musee National de la Marine . It is an extremely visited and liked museum of France. The collection at the museum dates back to Louis XV of France. The entry fee of the museum is quite nominal and the tour information is very good. It is located at the end of the wharf near the naval base. The audio guide explains the role of the port of Toulon in the navy. The paintings of the port, which are displayed in the museum, are exceptionally fine and captivating. To visit each point of the museum and to see every item on display takes a total of around one hour twenty minutes, which is not very much when you want to have a nice time. • Very nice museum. Great walking tour radio. Cheap admission.
  • Awesome museum! We were on a cruise, and it was very easy to get to. So interesting, and had audio tours in many languages. We had a blast, even though we were pretty exhausted.
  • Great little maritime museum with rich history. They have a couple of huge models of ships that were used for training purposes back in the day. Lots to see!
  • It was an interesting exhibition, but I was disappointed about only seeing French notes and not a single English one. Although there was English audio guide, it hadn't covered all the material.
  • Museum has to do with the audio guide. Correct price. Free up to age 26. Interesting visit and possibility of being guided. I Board. Allow a little time.
