Le Thot, Thonac
(1.7/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
For a glimpse at ancient cave drawings, visit Le Thot. This prehistoric theme park works well as a companion trip to nearby caves, providing more information and special reproductions of some of the area's ancient art. The site also boasts an animal park, featuring special breeds similar to those that roamed the earth with our ancestors. It's especially fun for children. Put Le Thot and other Thonac attractions into our Thonac family vacation planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Park surely interesting during the season the quick tour. Children disappointed by the Park too short. The mammoth end-of-life. Saw with electric cables. We enjoy a beautiful view of the Valley and the Museum.

  • We enjoyed the workshops, entertainment, trivia, and exposure with videos. It's a good complement to the site of Lascaux. Everything is very well suited to children. In addition the Park is nice, even if it could be more highlighted. On the other hand, we found the reception bit effective, I recommend to call for explanations and to book tickets online.

  • More interesting for the prints, the film in 3D, augmented reality, and especially the aurochs "reconstituted" (by different crosses)... absolutely incredible once we could admire the representations painted on the walls! It relaxes the younger legs to walk in the Park, to see live animals.

  • Worth visiting if you are in the area, it appeared as if it needed a bit of updating in some areas
  • Nice and very children friendly but a slight let down after Lascaux and it's magical atmosphere. Still worth a shot with the discount offered when bought with Lascaux.
  • OK if you have kids, not really worth the visit if you don't
  • Waste of time and does not add anything to the Lascaux II experience.
  • Great afternoon with kids. Good workshop with relevant stakeholders. Attention if you want to do workshops consider booking on-site or on the website.
