  • This visit allows to have an explanation about an ancient technique that is the manufacture of knives... it's quite touching and instructive.

  • A very quiet and very pleasant visit Thursday of November. The Museum is in two parts. The first where the business and the different steps of the manufacturing of a knife is presented then an explanatory video. Then on the second site, a more technical explanation of the manufacturing of the knife as well as a sound and light of the different stages with different machines. And finally, a very nice collection of knives on two floors. The price of the tour € 5.50 is very correct.

  • A museum on the knives, but not that... a little history of the city, a little history of the work... The first part is interesting to understand the city. The second site is powered by passionate people. A pleasure to listen to.

  • A gem of a museum. Be sure to watch the demonstrations.
  • There are very beautiful objects in the Museum. Demonstrations are interesting. You must also visit the Valley of the spinning wheels. The visit of the last spinning wheel in function is very interesting. It should nevertheless conduct some maintenance of the building work although it must of course keep the authentic nature of the place.

  • Museum to visit to understand and soak up the history of Thiers and his cutlery. Attention, the Museum is in three sites separated (single ticket for all three sites, that can be done over several days)

  • The Museum is nice. but we found it best is the visit of a spinning wheel still in operation. It's really there, we can realize the difficulty of this job at this time. In addition, the ride is in a beautiful location, calm and freshness. The price is more than OK because it's 3 museums (Museum history of the Thiers cutlery Museum 2 expo of knives and demonstration) and 3 with the visit of the impeller). To have a good time at the expense, I recommend!

  • Museum which traces the history of the knife perfectly in Thiers, and plunges us beautifully in the atmosphere of the manufacture of the past. The crafts which ends the visit with explanations and demonstrations of manufacturing is an enthusiast, and his contact is very rewarding. Don't miss it under any pretext, the history of this work has begun centuries ago, but is still well and truly alive!
