  • Really beautiful paths converging on St James, friendly meetings and a beautiful architecture throughout these paths.

  • Compostela is unique. Part only once, leaving husband and 3 children are already grown, I'm part of León to Saint Jacques. A little more than 300 km in 12 days. I was already not so young, with 52, not particularly sporty, with a pair of shoes brand new market, or old-used occasionally, bought maybe a year before. Why I say this? Because my little Darling shoe held only one day of market! I said, good shoes brand! But an amazing thing happened. Arriving in my first hostel at Órbigo Hospital, my first step with one foot of shoe completely open in front, the innkeeper tells me to come see him because he had a few pairs of shoes left by pilgrims and maybe there will be a that suits me (waiting to arrive in a larger city to buy more). Of course! Like Cinderella, I found my glass slipper shoe and I finished my camino with this pair. Again many thanks, monsieur innkeeper! Unforgettable moments, meetings, pieces of life, shares, a lot of emotion and a great feeling of lightness. I went in July, very hot, but starting very early (around 5:30 in the morning) and arriving at the hostel around 1 pm with breaks for coffee with something to get under teeth, a bocadillo lunch, lots of water (to drink and on l a head because of the heat). Then, it was time of the shower (wonderful!) and laundry (but yes, the bag may not exceed 10% of our weight and this is fundamental) because the laundry must be dry at night in the "mochila". Just to get you in the bath, once my shoes problem solved, I went directly to the post office to send half a bath towel (cut! I said it was the light model of the well-known sports store) and a set of clothes: I thus kept only one spare. Finally, I can talk to you for hours! I advise not to hesitate, go! I have never had problems, traveling alone.

  • Of the Puy-en-Velay to Conques, or 210 km in eight steps, we lived an unforgettable experience, because of the history, culture, meetings and significant landscapes. The departure of the Cathedral of our Lady of the Puy, the crossing of Aubrac in brilliant sunshine, the encounter with of farmers cheese makers in the Falzet, the aligot and the Aubrac tripoux, proud cattle of the race of the same name, read-only memories. Add to this list the Lot Valley and its beautiful villages, Holy como Olt and d'Estaing and of course the arrival at Conques beautiful medieval village.
