4.4/5 based on 40 reviews on the web
Atelier musee de la soie guides you through the silk-making process used in Taulignan. You'll learn about silk manufacturing techniques through multimedia displays, photographs, and documents dating back to the industry's heyday in the 1860s, when the town was twice as large due to demand for spun silk. The interactive exhibits make this modestly sized museum interesting for children, too. An introductory film features English subtitles, and an English-language handout is available. • This well-designed Museum is exciting. We see from the silkworm, all stages of manufacturing. There are very many machines, well presented, and the young guide gives explanations necessary to understand the process. This is a visit to advise.
