Atelier musee de la soie, Taulignan

(4.5/5 based on 40+ reviews on the web)
Atelier musee de la soie guides you through the silk-making process used in Taulignan. You'll learn about silk manufacturing techniques through multimedia displays, photographs, and documents dating back to the industry's heyday in the 1860s, when the town was twice as large due to demand for spun silk. The interactive exhibits make this modestly sized museum interesting for children, too. An introductory film features English subtitles, and an English-language handout is available. • The Silk Museum interest as well as curious adults. It traces multiple information around the making of silk. After the Museum you can also browse a route through Philadelphia to discover the route of the silk and discover the beauty of the region. And for children, a treasure hunt in the village can be arranged. Find you.

  • We accidentally discovered this museum stopping at Philadelphia. Very nice staff who gave us the desire to visit the Museum. Very well made videos and very beautiful machines explain the silk manufacturing. A museum to see.
