  • It is a House of bigourdan style dating back to the 18th century, which has features of the end of the Louis XV and whose architectural interest is accentuated by an outdoor Gallery balusters, pelmets and windows framing of marble. Ferdinand Foch, sixth in a family of seven children, lived here, a middle-class family whose father was a collector of his birth (1851) at the age of twelve years. Inside: collections gathering memories of the Marshal or his family, showing his personal itinerary, his career and his public life as a Marshal of France. A room is devoted to the recognition of the allied countries. Notice the staircase in carved wood, imitating the ironwork of the 17th century. The House is located not far from the Cathedral Notre-Dame of the headquarters, in the city's historic district and in the street of victory which must delight, wherever it is, the Generalissimo disappeared in 1929. Classified Historical Monuments, by Decree of January 30, 1938.
