#1 of 15 in Parks in Strasbourg
A major public park on 25 hectares (60 acres), Parc de l'Orangerie dates back to the 17th century. The park features a mini-zoo, mini-farm, stork-breeding enclosure, retro rides, and several playgrounds. The more modern northwest portion of the park is popular for skateboarding, sports, and urban BMX biking. Rent a canoe and paddle around the man-made lake, view an exhibit at the Joséphine Pavilion, and dine in the on-site gourmet restaurant with billiards, a bar, and bowling. Parc de l'Orangerie is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Strasbourg Edition.

  • Beautiful park in the middle of the district of Europe. A beautiful stroll in perspective, a small zoo, a brewery and a gourmet restaurant are also located. Nice corner to visit.

  • Essential visit. There are immense trees, highlighting the avenue of platanos. Different environments, some with pump, others with waterfall water, others with flowers. It's worth walking in time, about 2 hours. Inside there are 2 restaurants

  • Beautiful park, stunning flowers, well maintained paths and monuments. The animal park has some very pretty exotic birds but I thought that some of the enclosures were a bit on the small side. Perfect for an evening stroll or a morning run, can recommend and would visit again.
  • Lovely park, which is wonderful to visit after spending time and other parts of the city. Lakes, a waterfall, plenty of green grass and trees, with beautiful flowers in summer months. You can take a boat out on the water as well. At least one restaurant in the park as well... Though I think I saw two.
  • Would give it 3.75. I guess the grass was a bit parched from the peak summer heat and a little upkeep needed at the edges. Central area had well kept grass. Nice overall with good play area for kids as well as small pond for boat rowing. Loved the little book shop. Nice table tennis setup in corner.
  • If you are visiting Strasbourg this is a must see, especially if you have children. As there is a free small zoo, multiple great playgrounds, and fantastic grassed areas to have a picnic. Also you will be sure to see a stork, which is a symbol for the region of Alsace.
  • When I visited Strasbourg with my wife we has been there several times. It is a magic place on where you can enjoy your time and see the storks, it is very amazing. I have done a lot of photos and some video. It was also nice to walk inside and look around. You are fully immersed in the nature, you don't see anymore the houses and the cars. It is well organized and if you want you can rest on the grass or do some sport.
