Art Museum
Open to the public since 1980, Priory Museum (Musee Maurice Denis - Le Prieure) is a museum dedicated to Nabi art and is named for Maurice Denis, a French symbolist Nabi painter. During your visit, you can view Denis’ work as well as that of Paul Gauguin, Paul Sérusier, Émile Bernard, and more. Set aside some time to enjoy the pieces, because this museum holds the largest collection of Nabi art in France.

You can also visit the adjacent chapel, restored and decorated by Denis from 1915 to 1928, as well as his workshop. The whole is an imposing structure that includes a wooded park in the south. • A small Museum dedicated to Maurice Denis and other nabis artists. This historic building also includes a charming garden (free access) and the painter workshop (not open for visits).  more »
  • A most beautiful encounter. One of my favourite artists. It's not too much to handle either (you won't get gallery/museum fatigue). Lots of Denis' art, and a small amount of some of the other Nabis. The chapel Denis renovated with his friends in honour of his late wife Marthe is very special, in particular the Stations of the Cross he painted, and the frescoes depicting those who have epitomised each of the Beatitudes.
  • Tourism. ОБЯЗАТЕЛЬНО *. Very nice

  • The museum traces the period from Maurice Denis, so many artists, "nabis". The opportunity to indulge themselves quickly (the Museum is small) and often (€4,5 entry). And the decor of the Priory is not detrimental. To consume without moderation.
