  • Located in an amazing Castle and close to a very nice Park, from which one can have a beautiful view of Paris (when there no fog!), the Museum has proved disappointing due to the lack of originality and even interest of museography (unless you enjoy collections of tips of arrows or torque at kilometer) but mostly because it is almost impossible to see all the collections (in fact the floors) rooms opening in alternation. Not to mention that room supervisors, unsympathetic (but as elsewhere) are very eager to leave and do not hesitate to close earlier and put you out. Good strategy would be to enter the Museum in the late morning to visit in the first half and finish the visit in early afternoon, rotation is performing at 13: 00. A few beautiful pieces anyway.

  • Come up to St. Germain only for the Museum I don't know if it's worth it. It is interesting the part Celtic, with a modern display, the Roman section was not renewed, sin. Anyway if you are in the area stop by.

  • Visit family with two children. Our large 6-year-old is is enjoyed at the expo on the bears of cavemen in prehistoric art. A must see for the Lady of Brassempouy and the statue of Vercingetorix. Museum fun and suitable for large or small. very friendly staff.
