The only museum of its kind in Europe, Musee de l'Automate offers a collection of automated and mechanical toys dating back to the 19th and 20th centuries. Workshops in Roullet-Decamps produced the vast majority of these fanciful items. Marvel at the toys automated by mechanical apparatuses, electronic components, and clock-like gears. Enjoy the variety of subjects, from a full jazz band from yesteryear to modern robots. Many of the pieces synchronize with interesting movements, sounds, and light effects that will spark your imagination. Musee de l'Automate Reviews
Un moment hors du temps. On retrouve ses yeux d'enfants. What a great place ,everyone will enjoy it no matter what there age.
Museum of ancient creatures created by man, the magic still despite the passing of time. Most of the designs are superb but would require a lot of work to restore. Why not add recent creations? The last machines were at least 40 years... Visit 45 min max.
Following our visit to this day, I was very disappointed by this last. Indeed, I had done this same visit a few years ago and it was much more interesting (today many machines did not work properly). It's a shame because I took my grandchildren who have disappointed.
It is a surprise. Charming. It is worth making a stop along the way.
Small nice Museum, the magic of automata is surprising, especially for mechanisms that have more than 100 years to see.
