  • The ski season would start on December 7. Too bad that nothing was open or ready. Huts still closed, shops with boxes featured, restaurants with menus 2 things because they had failed to do the shopping, pubs open transport boxes and black bags crammed. Boh not having snowed half an hour before, and being a popular ski resort I would have hoped for a little more responsiveness when opening season. Nothing to complain to the slopes, but for tourist accommodation (at great cost) just not good enough. Paragon point seemed to be in Genoa during the off-season with no operator that he wanted to see you go.

  • Using webcams Serre Chevalier, I learn that the station will be open December 3. Delighted, I call the Tourist Office which confirms that the station open 3 and kindly tells me that only some tracks will be open. I rush to do early in the season and spend a nice week end 3 and 4. But on Monday morning, I find door close to the lifts. I am told that it wasn't the opening, but a pre-opening! and it's well written on signs at the entrance to the station, except that the tourist is kept to notify me on the phone. So, I go skiing 15 kilometres away, in Montgenevre, where I found many open tracks, with of more large drops and an impeccable snow. I did not know this station, but it is she who will have the favour of my choice in the future. In addition, the Tourist Office is unable to give me the coordinates of a free wifi, while SCV-public (compagnie des Alpes) is finally available 100 metres away.

  • A truly magnificent ski area, with a wide variety of tracks, a very good snow. I would highly recommend.
