Built at the end of the Middle Ages, Chateau d'Aulteribe was altered and restored in the second half of the 19th century during the Romantic Period with many of the medieval building features added in again. The furnishings of the château, include tapestries from Flanders and Aubusson, Chinese porcelain, and paintings from the 17th to 19th centuries. Le château ferme officiellement à 18:30 (site web, horaires à l'entrée,...), mais le personnel juge que finir avec la visite de 16:00 c'est bien suffisant comme cela (évidemment sans aucune précision ... read more »The Castle officially closes at 18:30 (website, hourly at the entrance,...), but the staff judge that finish with a visit to 16:00 is good enough as this (obviously without any details on this subject on the website or on the sign). Arriving at 17:05, the doors are so open. When it did 3/4 hour drive for this, this sick a little!show original

For music lovers, the composer Onslow, related to the family of Pierre, much attended the Castle where you can see his piano.show original
