Val Cenis, Savoie

(3.9/5 based on 55+ reviews on the web)
If you desire a quiet ski resort with short lines for the lifts, head to Val Cenis. Repeat visitors like the blue-coded slopes, which allow less confident skiers to enjoy the views from the top. If you're more experienced, head to Lanslevillard for backcountry skiing. In summer the area offers hiking trails and other recreational activities. • This is an ideal area for the family. There is a beautiful range of track of different levels. The area is very well maintained. People there are really nice. Not bad of restaurant and bar for good finish the day. To do!

  • I have been to Val Cenis every year for the last 15 years and I still can't get enough of it. Away from the drunken hoards and stupid prices further up the valleys, this sleepy little set of villages ...  more »
  • Very lovely resort in the heart of the Savoie. This station has a large ski area, which will give satisfaction as well for beginners to experts. Tracks are exposed mainly to the North, the snow quality remains good even when it's soft. There are overall pretty little waiting to lift even during the holidays, this is very significant. Also, which is great in this station is that one has the opportunity to ski in the pine forest. The station is very large and includes three villages: Termignon, Lanslebourg and Lanslevillard. These villages have preserved their typical Savoyard architecture, you won't see any toolbars buildings but pretty chalets or traditional houses. If you still have energy after a day of skiing you can enjoy the pool, rink, bowling, and many bars, restaurants, shops of souvenirs of the station. And not to forget the night skiing on Thursday night to lift the Colomba.
