Val Cenis, Savoie
(3.8/5 based on 45+ reviews on the web)
If you desire a quiet ski resort with short lines for the lifts, head to Val Cenis. Repeat visitors like the blue-coded slopes, which allow less confident skiers to enjoy the views from the top. If you're more experienced, head to Lanslevillard for backcountry skiing. In summer the area offers hiking trails and other recreational activities. Make Val Cenis part of your personalized Lanslevillard itinerary using our Lanslevillard vacation trip planner.

  • 2015 / 2016 season in France Alps was a very harsh winter. It is year-end and new year holidays, Valloire and La Toussuire status across the Board by about 20-30 cm were sliding very was not. Here Val Cenis is 80 cm and was the main course, but I enjoyed the runway. (The bottom string course with artificial snow) Italy side views is not feeling that great, visible from the top ski mountains were beautiful. Ski area is very crowded, and not so slowly as a resort.

  • A small beautiful family resort, its cool even if the snow is not at the rendezvous. Hunt, beautiful Museum of baroque art, dairy cooperative, beautiful monuments, nice to walk there.

  • I started skiing at Val Cenis when I was small (3.5 years) with my parents and returns there from 2010 with my family. This station remained family, no bling-bling and human dimension, including Parisian school holidays, with trees, a very beautiful panorama on the Mont-Cenis Lake. The snow is always present. The ski lifts are almost all recent despite some lift in Termignon, which from my point of view always has a quality of snow awesomeness! :-) Off-tracks are accessible on the outskirts of tracks for those seeking the powder without risk. In short, that happiness! I said going in all the following stations between my youth and my paternal role and returns since 2010 in Val Cenis: Courchevel, Meribel, Les Menuires, Les Arcs, Tignes, Val d ' Isère, Samoens, Les Carroz d'araches, Morillon, Les Contamines Montjoie.
