  • Beautiful ski area with a varied landscape. The field is vast (Courchevel, meribel, the Menuires, Val Thorens,...). Some tracks (lots of blue and red) rather varied and well kept! The snow conditions were not ideal (Sun and lack of snow so April in February) and yet the slopes were always ski through the work of the service of the tracks! Some lifts are not very important attendance at the field level in high season! It's a shame, there's often the line... It lacks a direct access between the Menuires and Val Thorens. An expensive but unique area for its size. The xxl series are nice!

  • The snow conditions weren't great in January - many areas were icy and a lot of manmade snow was used. However you cannot fault the variety of runs and the size of the ski area - I will definitely be ...  more »
  • We start by talking about the arrival, a journey from Geneva that took 4 hours more than the supposed since the Freeway was stopped and there was a lot of traffic. They told us it was something normal.. What estranhámos. We've been in the week of 18 to 25 February, long drops a big Blizzard. It's something that the Office is not to blame, but that also doesn't make for better. We got temperatures in val thorens to 12graus Celsius. The negatives:-too many people, 0.5 hour queues on mechanical means-does not exist in most means "single track"-there are a lot of mechanical means to imply that if you take off your skis ... which is quite uncomfortable; -quality of snow-horrible! We were in January in the Sierra Nevada and the Office was producing snow day and night, here, day or night we saw a single cannon. The reality is that the guns are not like the Sierra Nevada are more basic and most tracks don't have; -the tracks are plates of ice with some snow on top; most of the tracks have not been trampled daily; -In Andorra and in the Sierra Nevada the estancia puts signs "lead didn't Stomp", "track on the rocks", "irregular" conditions-here we haven't seen any indications. We saw clues completely nuts, we saw clues with Earth and grass in sight, in water. The lack of quality of snow together with the fact that there are so many people that looked like something out of a book of Wally, was an explosive mixture. Good points:-huge domain-beautiful views-many activities for non-skiers; -There is a party in every corner; In short-it is recommended outside the high season and at a time with good snow. The station is not ready to operate without natural snow.
