  • The caves are located in the village of Sassnazh in the suburbs of Grenoble. You can get here by tram or bus No. 5110 from bus station of Grenoble. Entrance to the caves is worth 7 euros.

  • Access to the cave by an uphill path that runs along the river. The trail is well laid out to have points of view on the waterfalls. We get 10 to 15 minutes at the ticket office where will receive you a small led flashlight (you can keep it then... the kids loved). The visit is done in 2 steps: the active part of the cave (which is regularly flooded) then the highest part where we discover the concretions, stalactites... and above all something very rare: settlements of Flint in the limestone rock. The guide is very friendly and frankly professional, his speech is informative and not at all boring. The course is varied with places quite narrow and low (ceiling 1,40 m), which changes the caves all concreted.. .and made another originality of it. We can then down the path that runs along the other side of the River to admire up close the waterfalls. Provide good shoes and a fleece (it's 12 degrees fans the cave).

  • I did have a brief overview of the vats because access was closed but the Park alone is worth the look! Beautiful!
