  • quoted again animated with a slight preference for the winter where because there is less the summer crowds, the streets and buildings are more clear. We can then have a look more centered on the old stones and sumptuous roofs of slate from the freedom square...

  • The old Sarlat is certainly worth a visit. It takes back us a few hundred years back and has a lot of pretty picturesque buildings. I was however a little disappointed the general atmosphere that is more reminiscent of a big market for tourists at a historical site. Obviously we were in July, would be certainly more interesting out of season

  • Sarlat is my favorite city. Stroll in the old Sarlat, summer and winter, is always a magical moment. The streets, the buildings, small shops, the market of Christmas in December, the terraces in the summer... Everything is beautiful, full of history... Don't miss under any circumstances if you are in the area!
