  • A point of view on the Charente River, it is his main interest. If you go through Holy and if you're looking for doors: the Amphitheater will open them... you will not forget its past.

  • 18-19 a.d. Style Gallo-Roman student free visit this arc was the gate of the city; Rebuilt a few meters from its place of origin. It's still stunning to see this put bow here on the banks of the Charente River, after all these years... Unusual in our civilization but interesting nonetheless. To see it.

  • The Arc de Germanicus was in the vicinity of our hotel. Nice to look short and painless without to leave an everlasting impression. Bottom line: If you're in Saintes, you should see him, otherwise you can also die without having done it.

  • We had an enjoyable day exploring Saintes & the arch of Germanicus was awesome to view. Well worth a visit.
  • Germanicus (the triumphal arch) of Holy arc, on the edges of the Charentes and with many inscriptions (in latin). Free and open every day, 24/24 monument then it arises "in the street". One of the remains of the Roman city of Saintes must-see during your stay in Saintes.

  • The location is surprising, but with the banks of the Charente River that has its charm.
