  • This museum is well curated with authentic and larger-than-life relics from the war. It is always more enjoyable to see actual artifacts than photographic reproductions, so if objects of history inter...  more »
  • This place is a museum on the 2nd World War the entrance is € 8 per adult person. Once inside this museum there are 3 buildings which offers different things. For example the first shows you the military equipment that have the Americans when they have landed in Holy Mother Church (radio, military equipment like uniforms or firearms, ammunition, condoms, Tin can, bottle of Coke that it is better able to drink, card games, ticket exchange etc). There is also a replica of an American plane in which you can cross, and inside there's a dummy dressed as a soldier. In the second building at the entrance there all Mannequins dressed with different uniforms of the U.S. Army. There is also a showcase of different firearms who served during the war. Also German weapons and models of U.S. female nurses. There are also people who went to war and that we given their uniform or a part of their uniform at the museum like Clarke gable who in fact gifts of his military jacket. This museum is also supplemented by documentaries of time on d-day. I think that 2 hours is enough to visit this museum. And I also think that children can appreciate this Museum, which is another way to make them love school history and which can allow everyone to complete his historical knowledge of the period. The photos are allowed, but do not put the flash. Even I who love history without yet being fan of Museum I liked.

  • Museum exciting and moving; films, reconstructions, many historical artifacts found, uniforms, vehicles, glider, a plane who participated in D-day with simulation of night to imagine... and not to forget... little shop at the exit. Adult: 8 euros, child; 5 euros & family ticket.

  • Fascinating. Having heard lots in the past about the beaches, it was very interesting to learn more about the paratroopers involved in D day.
  • All I can say is thank you! This museum helped us connect the dots of my grandfathers unspeakable times during D-Day and the month that followed. Great job to immerse us into the sights and sounds of the campaign that occurred. The personal stories and items displayed made names come alive and real. Including the German aspects was important to see the whole picture.
  • Not a single thing was dull or uninteresting. Educating and really nice. I can definitely come back. A must to visit if you are in Normandy.
  • This is more than museum, it's as close as I could imagine actually being there at the time. Easy to get to from Cherbourg and so much to experience. Include the famous Cemetery, tank museum, Utah beach museum and nearby St Marie Du Mont military shops, and you will have captured the 'experience of D-Day' (2 days gives you tons of time). Enjoy and bring plenty of spare camera batteries and memory.
  • Fantastic museum, loads of really interesting things to read about and see. Very moving visit. However the cinema screening in the one exhibit was appalling, constant waffling about Ronald Reagan, who was apparently too short sighted to actually fight. But you'd think he won the war on his own...ghastly, come on museum owners, sort it out, we did.not travel all that way to listen to all that nonsense.!!!!!!
