  • It is amazing and very interactive also with very good gift availables. The city and history of the parachuters is amazing. Do not lose it.
  • The Airborne Museum is a must. It is one of the best museums in the landing, and boasts several tanks, guns and aircraft of the era, as well as extensive sections devoted to small arms, uniforms and moments of everyday life. There are several aircraft, a C-47, a Piper Cub, and a Waco glider. You can enter into a couple of these and one offers the chance to relive, through sound effects and lights, the night before the launch of paratroopers: you enter in the fuselage of the plane where soldiers are ready for launch, while in the background you hear the radio and you hear a flak cannon fire; below you can see the area of the launch with the various villages, the explosions of the bombs, and the launches in the course of other skydivers. The Museum also explains the stages of the battle of the exhibitions. Tickets cost € 8 per person. At the end of the Museum there is a well stocked store of gadgets and books.

  • Excellent visit to family, the atmosphere of the Museum is worth visiting with our children, and collaborate with people who kept alive the history of D-day and World War II

  • Fascinating. Having heard lots in the past about the beaches, it was very interesting to learn more about the paratroopers involved in D day.
  • All I can say is thank you! This museum helped us connect the dots of my grandfathers unspeakable times during D-Day and the month that followed. Great job to immerse us into the sights and sounds of the campaign that occurred. The personal stories and items displayed made names come alive and real. Including the German aspects was important to see the whole picture.
  • Not a single thing was dull or uninteresting. Educating and really nice. I can definitely come back. A must to visit if you are in Normandy.
  • This is more than museum, it's as close as I could imagine actually being there at the time. Easy to get to from Cherbourg and so much to experience. Include the famous Cemetery, tank museum, Utah beach museum and nearby St Marie Du Mont military shops, and you will have captured the 'experience of D-Day' (2 days gives you tons of time). Enjoy and bring plenty of spare camera batteries and memory.
  • Fantastic museum, loads of really interesting things to read about and see. Very moving visit. However the cinema screening in the one exhibit was appalling, constant waffling about Ronald Reagan, who was apparently too short sighted to actually fight. But you'd think he won the war on his own...ghastly, come on museum owners, sort it out, we did.not travel all that way to listen to all that nonsense.!!!!!!
