  • so much information to see to feel to experience what happen that time, you can not just imagine what those kids went through and the museum shows you both inside and outside a must see place
  • The two new display halls are awesome ! One contains a fuselage with Paratroopers in a sounds & scenes simulation of their approach to the drop zone.
  • It is a private museum, very well designed, with a lot of preserved material. The animations are relevant and moving.

  • Fantastic museum, loads of really interesting things to read about and see. Very moving visit. However the cinema screening in the one exhibit was appalling, constant waffling about Ronald Reagan, who was apparently too short sighted to actually fight. But you'd think he won the war on his own...ghastly, come on museum owners, sort it out, we did.not travel all that way to listen to all that nonsense.!!!!!!
  • All I can say is thank you! This museum helped us connect the dots of my grandfathers unspeakable times during D-Day and the month that followed. Great job to immerse us into the sights and sounds of the campaign that occurred. The personal stories and items displayed made names come alive and real. Including the German aspects was important to see the whole picture.
  • Great Museum, lots to look at, with plenty to keep kids interested as well. They also did a good job of breaking up the walk thru with videos and displays so you didn't just feel like you were looking at artifacts the whole time.
  • This is more than museum, it's as close as I could imagine actually being there at the time. Easy to get to from Cherbourg and so much to experience. Include the famous Cemetery, tank museum, Utah beach museum and nearby St Marie Du Mont military shops, and you will have captured the 'experience of D-Day' (2 days gives you tons of time). Enjoy and bring plenty of spare camera batteries and memory.
  • The museum has some cool aircraft and machinery with lots of information. I preferred the overlord museum though because they had a much larger collection of tanks and military vehicles.
